Xylem Phloem
1.       Xylem cell consists of elongated thick and lignified cells (sclerenchyma). Phloem tissues consist of living cells and companion cells having perforation called sieve plates.
Xylem conducts water from the soil to the leaves. Phloem conducts food from the leaves to various parts of the plants.
